Amazon has entered the Apple and Samsung dominated smartphone market with the debut of its Fire Phone at an event at Seattle’s Fremont Studios yesterday.
The company saw a significant share price increase after CEO Jeff Bezos unveiled the new device, complete with Amazon services such as Prime Music fully integrated.
Featuring Gorilla Glass, a 13-megapixel camera, and a 4.7-inch HD display, it runs the Android-based Fire OS 3.5 with a quad-core 2.2GHz processor and 2GB RAM.
