Amazon has extended its AutoRip service to vinyl, meaning customers will get free mp3 copies of their physical purchases stored in their own Amazon Cloud.

At the turn of the year Amazon introduced AutoRip for CD buyers. Now, customers who purchase an AutoRip vinyl record will receive a digital copy of that music automatically in their Cloud Player libraries, free of charge, for immediate playback or download.
