The deal follows on from news of Kellie Pickler - a contestant from series five of the television talent show - being dropped from her deal at Sony Music Nashville.
Sanchez confirmed the news on Twitter, a few weeks after she came second in the singing competition to Phillip Phillips. A urban-leaning album is expected as Sanchez revealed in an interview with the Philippine Daily Inquirer that her album is "going to be more of urban and R&B, with a bit of pop."
She is also rumoured to be negotiating with the creators of Glee regarding appearances on the forthcoming season of the show.
Kellie Pickler, a country singer who competed during season five of the show and was signed to Sony Music Nashville, has been dropped from the label - reportedly because her third album suffered from poor sales. It was the last album on her contract.
Pickler's manager told ABC News Radio: "Kellie's contract with Sony came to an end and they mutually decided not to renew."
