AOL Music shut down, Spinner staff out
AOL has closed its AOL Music journalism/publishing division and laid off all staff, according to tweets from ex-employees.
The division included online music titles such as Spinner, TheBoomBox, The Boot and Noisecreep.
The Spinner Twitter account tweeted the following to its 48,000 followers on Friday, before deleting the message:
"Hey guys. Just found out from AOL that we're shutting down. Today is our last day. Seriously."
