Apple applies for iWatch trademark in Japan

Apple has filed for an ‘iWatch’ trademark in Japan, suggesting that it may be looking to develop a smart device in the form of a wristwatch.

A document obtained by Billboard from the Japan Patent Office’s website said that the application was made public on June 27 although it was originally filed on June 3.

While the application has been filed, there is no news on the status of its approval.
