Apple CFO Peter Oppenheimer to retire

Apple’s chief financial officer Peter Oppenheimer will retire in September with the tech giant’s current corporate controller Luca Maestri taking over the role.

Responsibilities will be transferred to Maestri in June. Apple CEO Tim Cook said that the move had been planned since Maestri was recruited a year ago.

Oppenheimer joined Apple in 1996 as controller for the Americas, while Maestri has previously held CFO positions at Nokia Siemens Networks and Xerox.
