Apps market to be worth $25bn by 2015

MarketsandMarkets' World Mobile Applications Market (2010-2015) report says this will be a leap from a value of $6.8bn (?4.3bn) last year.

Growing competition from the likes of Android, BlackBerry, Nokia and Palm will mean that Apple's share of the apps market will be just 20.5% by 2015.

Apple's App Store is gearing up for its 10 billionth app download, less than three years after its launch.
