Arts Council chief lead contender for BBC Radio 3 job

Alan Davey, chief executive of the Arts Council, is being touted as the frontrunner to oversee the Proms and lead BBC Radio 3.

The Times reports that interviews are due to take place in the coming weeks, following months of speculation over who would replace Roger Wright, former Radio 3 controller and director of the Proms.
