ASCAP CEO John LoFrumento is to retire as of January 1 after a 33-year long tenure at the performing rights organisation.
During his 17 years at the helm of the company, membership grew from 70,000 members to 520,000. Distribution of royalties more than doubled, from $417 million to $875 million.
