Recently launched streaming service Baboom claims to have issued the world’s first ‘fair trade streaming’ statements this week, after making direct payments to artists and labels for music streamed on the service.
According to Baboom, its fair trade streaming model ensures subscription fees go from the fan directly to the artists they stream.
Baboom launched last month with the offer of direct payments to artists and 90% revenue commission and splits to rights holders.
