Online music store Bandcamp is to begin offering subscription services to acts, with the artists themselves setting the rates and bonus content available to fans.
Speaking to The Guardian ahead of the SF MusicTech Summit conference, chief executive Ethan Diamond said that artists would have new music available to fans through the site’s app as soon as it’s released, plus whatever back catalogue tracks an artist chooses to offer as a subscription bonus.
