Baz Luhrmann partners with RCA for Bazmark label

Baz Luhrmann is partnering with Sony Music's RCA Records on a custom label, Bazmark, to release music from the director's film, TV and theatre projects, as well as signing new artists and acquiring rights to recordings.

The deal came after label chiefs Tom Corson and Peter Edge expressed an interest in Luhrmann's music-centred drama series The Get Down, produced by Sony Pictures Television, which will be streamed on Netflix in 2016.
