BBC launches BRIT Awards rival

The BBC will broadcast its own music awards ceremony this year as part of a major new music strategy.

For the first time ever, BBC One, Radio 1, Radio 2 and The One Show will unite for the BBC Music Awards - a celebration of the best in popular music from the last 12 months.
