BBC Radio 6 Music and Sony Commercial Music Group are releasing This Is BBC Radio 6 Music Live – a 2CD compilation on September 24.
As part of station’s 10-year anniversary celebrations, select live sessions recorded over the past decade have been put together on one complete compilation album.
The album features a selection of live sessions and tracks include Elbow Leaders of the Free World, Paul Weller That Dangerous Age, Arcade Fire Keep the Car Running, The Killers All These Things That I’ve Done, The Vaccines Wreckin’ Bar (Ra Ra Ra), Florence + The Machine Dog Days Are Over, Lana Del Rey Video Games and Alabama Shakes Mama plus many more.
6 Music is home to presenters Lauren Laverne, Steve Lamacq, Cerys Matthews, Huey Morgan, Shaun Keaveny, Mark Radcliffe, Stuart Maconie, Jarvis Cocker and more. The station was awarded the title National Station of the Year at the Sony Radio Academy Awards 2012.
