The Beatles' 1 album has leapt into the iTunes US Top 10 thanks to a TV special marking 50 years since the group's record-breaking Ed Sullivan show appearance.

The greatest hits set, which became a global best seller following its release in 2000, has moved up to No 7 on the iTunes chart in the States and is one of seven titles by the Fab Four currently lodged in the countdown's Top 100.
