Vocal harmony group Blake have announced that their new album Start Over will be part-funded through PledgeMusic.

Fans are able to pre-order the album via PledgeMusic, along with pledging to buy a range of merchandise including signed photographs, musical scores and artwork as well as a singing lesson, afternoon tea at The Ritz or a polo lesson.

Blake join a host of artists, including Gang Of Four, Martha Wainwright, Bruce Foxton, Charlie Simpson and B.B. King, in choosing to work with the Direct-To-Fan website.

Start Over, Blake’s fourth album, consists of eight new songs (including three by Diane Warren) and four cover versions.

Names to have worked on the record include Andrew Powell (20 number one hits including Wuthering Heights), Tim Ross, Nick Patrick (responsible for Blake’s first and third albums), Simon May, Mark Swersky and Steve Greenwell.
