Pharrell legal team requests Blurred Lines retrial

Pharrell Williams’ legal team has filed a motion requesting a retrial following the court ruling in March that found him and Robin Thicke liable for $7.4 million in damages for infringing the copyright of Marvin Gaye’s Got to Give It Up in their own smash hit, Blurred Lines.

Williams’ attorneys want US District Judge John Kronstadt to revisit the evidence, arguing that the jury was pushed into making the decision.
