Blurred Lines judge refuses retrial

The judge heading the Blurred Lines trial, which saw Pharrell Williams, Robin Thicke and T.I on trial for infringing the copyright of the late Marvin Gaye’s Got To Give It Up, has rejected a retrial.

John Kronstadt, the presiding US District Judge has cut the $7.4 million awarded to the Gaye estate $5.3m however.

Kronstadt has also accepted the Gaye’s argument that TI, UMG Recordings, Interscope and Sar Trak Entertainment should be found liable for damages along with Williams ...
