BMG scores first US No.1 with Janet Jackson

BMG has scored its first US No.1 with Janet Jackson's Unbreakable.

The record, released by BMG in association with the singer's own Rhythm Nation record label, entered the Billboard Top 200 this week to become Jackson’s seventh album to top the chart, and comes seven years after her previous album.

Unbreakable’s success comes just a year after BMG signalled its intention to ramp up its activities in new recordings with the acquisition of the UK Infectious Music and US Vagrant labels.
