BMG Chrysalis Nashville has signed an exclusive co-publishing agreement with multi-platinum songwriter, producer and arranger Darrell Brown. BMG will also now administer Brown’s back catalogue.
Brown has generated music sales of over 70 million units. He has worked with artists including Keith Urban, Neil Young, Bon Jovi, Faith Hill and Rodney Foster, with songwriting credits include hits for Keith Urban (‘You’ll Think of Me’, ‘Rainin’ on Sunday’), Josh Turner (‘Why Don’t We Just Dance’), and LeAnn Rimes (‘Nothin’ Better To Do’, ‘What I Cannot Change’).
His production and arrangement credits include Neil Young and Crazy Horse’s Americana, Chrome Dreams 2, and Living With War, for which Brown conducted a one hundred voice choir.
Most recently, Brown was the producer and principal co-writer for LeAnn Rimes’ upcoming album Spitfire. He is one of Rimes’ most longstanding collaborators with credits including co-production on her album Lady & Gentlemen, the singles ‘Crazy Women’ and ‘Give’ and he co-wrote nine songs with Rimes on her album Family, additionally contributing songs to her previous releases This Woman and Whatever We Wanna.
Brown’s songwriting also extends to film, television, and video games where his credits includes the films Gambit, Like Dandelion Dust, and Cruel Intentions, television series including Cold Case, Rookie Blue, and One Tree Hill.
He has also scored and produced rock, pop and country tracks for EA video game franchise The Sims, and serves on the Board of Trustees for NARAS, the Board for the Grammy Foundation, and as musical director and co-creative director for the annual Grammy Preservation Concert.
