BMI appoints Silvia Davi as head of Strategic Communications & Marketing

BMI has appointed Silvia Davi as vice president and head of Strategic Communications and Marketing.

Davi will be based in the New York headquarters of BMI reporting to Richard Conlon, senior vice president of Corporate Strategy, Communications and New Media.

The role will oversee the Corporate Communications and Marketing Department, including global public relations, branding, social media, internal communications, corporate marketing and online communications.

Davi joins BMI after serving as vice president and head of Corporate Communications and Brand at professional services firm Marsh & McLennan Companies.

Prior to this, she spent eight years at NASDAQ OMX as vice president, Corporate Communications and head of Global Broadcast Media Strateg. There, she launched various strategic visibility programs globally and spearheaded the corporate communications and broadcast studio of the NASDAQ MarketSite - the exchange’s flagship and broadcast facility in Times Square.

Prior to her role at NASDAQ OMX, Davi served as director of Public Relations at Instinet Group.

She has also worked in senior communications roles at the world’s largest public relations agencies including Edelman and Ogilvy Public Relations Worldwide, where she managed corporate accounts across various industries including entertainment, consumer and media sectors.
