Bob Marley's family ends legal wrangle with Universal

The label was accused of underpaying millions of dollars in royalties from digital downloads of the singer-songwriter. Last week a New York court 'dismissed the suit without prejudice' although the terms of the settlement haven't been revealed.

The original suit, filed in 2008, also challenged Universal regarding the ownership of copyright renewal of some of Marley's earlier albums, recorded with The Wailers and in 2011 it was ruled that the recordings were "works made for hire" with the label established as author of the work.
