Buy a CD from Amazon, get it free in the Cloud
Amazon is set to offer consumers who buy CD albums the same music for free, stored in a Cloud locker.
According to CNET, sources close to the retailer suggest that Amazon managers are expected to announce the new service, dubbed 'Auto Rip', very soon.
The tech site dubs the move "easily the most significant announcement involving the CD in years".
Other sources suggest that Amazon may also offer the same service retrospectively to CDs bought in the past.
