CISAC (the International Confederation of Societies of Authors and Composers) has elected Jean Michel Jarre to serve as its new president.
Jarre succeeds the late Robin Gibb, who passed away in May 2012. French visual artist and painter Hervé Di Rosa has served as CISAC’s acting president for the past year.
The organisation has also expanded its vice president role to four positions. These go to Javed Akhtar, Angélique Kidjo, Marcelo Piñeyro and Ousmane Sow.
