Clear Channel, Wind-Up Records team up to share radio revenue

Clear Channel, the largest owner of US radio station, and Wind-Up Records have entered a partnership through which the companies will share their digital and broadcast radio revenue.

Details of the partnership are yet to be revealed but Billboard reports if it has been agreed that the deal covers digital performance royalty for sound recordings then the statutory performance royalty of 0.2 cents per stream will be avoided by Clear Channel and artist royalties will come through the label rather ...
