Commercial radio companies have agreed a new, “modernised” licensing deal with PRS for Music, which includes rights for radio broadcast, simulcast and catch-up listening.
The deal was between PRS for Music and the industry body for commercial radio, RadioCentre.
It will apply to more than 300 licensed commercial radio stations in the UK and will run for a minimum of five years. It replaces the previous agreement, which has been in place since 1993.
