After 17 years at Virgin/EMI, French electronic music duo Daft Punk have signed to Columbia prior to the release of their forthcoming album.

It has been widely reported that Daft Punk are working with Nile Rodgers on the record, due for release in spring, and that it will also feature work from famed disco producer Giorgio Moroder – both of whom were quizzed about the collaboration when they appeared at the International Music Summit (IMS) in May 2012.
