Ashton Kutcher talked up Ek in Time's run down saying that "Spotify is revolutionising the music business and giving artists the opportunity to recoup revenue once washed away by Internet piracy."
He went on to say that Spotify and Ek have recognised that if music is easy enough to pay for, people won't steal it.
"Spotify and Daniel Ek have made a business out of having simple faith in humanity," he concludes. "We could all benefit from allowing ourselves to be influenced by that ideal."
Singer Pink wrote about Adele: "Turn on any radio station in the world and you will probably hear Adele. Go to Mars right now and I'm pretty sure if there is life on that planet, they're playing Adele. And for good reason."
Meanwhile Stella McCartney sung Rihanna's praises saying the star "goes out of her way to support the people she believes in. She is one of the few people I know in that world of fame and celebrity who aren't all about themselves."
Elton John said of Raphael Saadiq: "He confirmed that great black music is alive and well and not just a string of hip-hop monotony. His presence is already massive. It will only increase -- and rightfully so."
