Darcus Beese: 'I thought I knew Amy'

Amy, the documentary about Amy Winehouse that goes on general release this weekend, attempts to give a fuller and fairer picture of the artist and the person than the one painted by the tabloids in the run-up to her tragic death. Island Records boss Darcus Beese (who signed the singer/songwriter whilst an A&R exec at the label) talks about how the film came about – and recalls the Amy he knew.
