David Kassler, the exec charged with leading Parlophone Label Group during its temporary independent status, is to leave the business following the EC's approval of Warner Music’s £487m takeover.
Kassler joined PLG as its CEO and ‘Hold Separate’ Manager in September last year, following several successful years first as EMI Music’s COO in 2009 and then later as CEO, Europe and ROW.
He is expected to exit the company in six or eight weeks when Warner’s PLG acquisition is completed.
