Deezer has entered a global partnership with Philips which will enable users to access to a catalogue of over 18 million tracks directly to the home via the Philips Fidelio Wireless Hi-Fi range.
The partnership with Philips makes accessing Deezer’s catalogue – which includes unique artist-created playlists and recommendations from local music experts – even more effortless, as the Philips Fidelio Wireless Hi-Fi range will now be fully integrated with the streaming service.
Deezer is available from any device in more than 90 territories around the world.
Axel Dauchez, CEO of Deezer, said: “Our mission is to remove the barriers to listening to music so our partnership with Philips makes perfect sense. For so many people, home is where they enjoy music the most. We want to be the best music service for delivering music to the home, and we are thrilled to partner with the best home entertainment companies to provide this.”
Edouard Petit, marketing manager, Audio at Philips, said: “The way we listen to music is changing, and so is the technology we use for enjoying music at home. We are now living in a connected world, and we are increasingly enjoying streaming from the internet.
“Through our partnership with Deezer, the new Philips Fidelio Wireless Hi-Fi range gives you unlimited access to a whole universe of music at your fingertips.”
Deezer’s partnership with Philips was made possible owing to its Open Music API platform, which offers all developers the opportunity to build the Deezer service into new music apps, games and technology.
Deezer’s subscribers can also use the Deezer App, available on the App Store and Google Play to playback their music on Philips’ range of wireless speakers and docks.
