Digital giants gobble up revenue

Trade body AIM's top 40 list demonstrated that just three digital companies - iTunes, Spotify and Amazon, account for more than 94% of all the indies' global digital revenues.

The other 51 online companies, many based in the UK and US, are left to scrap for the remaining 5.6% of sales earned by the trade body's record companies - all members of the indie rights licensing group Merlin.
