Domino Records artists Arctic Monkeys and Franz Ferdinand have both scooped the Impala double platinum award for selling 1m albums in Western Europe.
The sales awards, which launched in 2005 to recognise the success of independent labels on a pan-European basis, awarded platinum status to Slipknot for Volume 3, The Offspring for Smash and Franz Ferdinand's second album You Could Have It So Much Better, which all sold 500,000 copies.
Diamond winners, selling 250,000 copies in Spain, Belgium, the UK, France, Netherlands, Sweden and Germany, included the Raconteurs, Jose Gonzalez and Thom Yorke.
Chairman of Impala and Beggars Group Martin Mills says, "The independents are key to discovering new talent. The Impala awards are simply a way of acknowledging that and celebrating real diversity in action.
"Our artists have unique talent and for the first time we have a tool that really helps us to increase pan-European awareness at different stages in their career and bring them to a much wider audience."
