Media company Relativity has acquired a stake in Downtown Records.

Relativity’s capital injection will help Downtown continue to grow through the acquisition and marketing of new catalogs and artists. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Downtown has a catalogue of over 5,000 songs and is home to artists such as Gnarls Barkley, Miike Snow, Santigold, Cold War Kids and Mos Def.
