Ed Sheeran’s second LP, X, has smashed through the million sales barrier – and is the first to do so within a calendar year since Emeli Sandé’s Our Version Of Events in 2012.
At the time of writing, the June released Sheeran album is on year-to-date sales of 1,005,002 and is followed by Sam Smith’s In The Lonely Hour (released in May) on sales of 753,120.
