Speaking at Radio Festival in Manchester yesterday (Tuesday, October 14), Ed Vaizey MP committed to reviewing a second rollover of analogue licences ahead of a digital switchover.
This would mean commercial radio stations Classic FM, owned by Global, Bauer’s Absolute Radio and UTV Media-owned TalkSport, along with 60 regional stations, would not have to compete for their licences, which are due to expire by 2017.
