Elton to become first Brit Icon
Sir Elton John is to become the first recipient of a Brits Icon Award, a significant new honour being introduced by the BPI.
The new award is set to become a part of the Brit Awards and will be given to artists whose writing, recording and performances have set them apart as having made a last impact on the nation's culture.
