'Over-performing' EMI contributed €200m to UMG revenues in Q1 2013

EMI contributed €200 million to Universal Music Group’s overall revenues in Q1 2013 and is “over-performing”.

In an earnings call following the Q1 financial results of Universal parent Vivendi, chief financial officer and Management Board member Philippe Capron told investors: “The EMI business is on track. They’re actually over-performing a little bit, which has helped offset weaknesses we are witnessing in Japan.”
