Classical music group Naxos has partnered with digital music discovery and download service eMusic to celebrate its 25th anniversary.
eMusic is currently hosting a 12-track Naxos music sampler, which is available to download for free until December 8.
The sampler includes movements from some of the greats such as Bach’s Violin Concerto in A minor, Mozart’s Requiem and Vivaldi’s Four Seasons, and will be available to both eMusic members and the general public, to download for free.
Naxos has released 300 new titles in 2012 alone featuring artists such as Marin Alsop, Vasily Petrenko, Leonard Slatkin, the London Philharmonic Orchestra and Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra.
“eMusic has always supported classical music and we have an extensive catalogue on the site,” said Madeleine Milne, Managing Director of eMusic Europe.
“We are delighted to celebrate Naxos’s 25 years of classical music recording with this free sampler. It gives everybody, not just eMusic members, the chance to discover some great classical music for free.”
Anthony Anderson, Managing Director of Naxos UK added: “I am delighted to be collaborating with emusic on this compilation in Naxos' 25th anniversary year. The tracks are taken from some of our most popular recordings going back to the early days of the label.”
