The deal finds the night, which was launched on Ibiza nine years ago expanded globally, with major events and club nights planned around the world alongside a range of supporting merchandise and music compilations.
The deal further expands EMI Music's successful relationship with David Guetta, who first signed a recording contract with the company in 2001 and has gone on to sell three million albums and 15m singles.
EMI Music CEO Europe/Rest of World David Kassler says Cathy and David have done a great job establishing the night as a strong brand in Ibiza and adds, "You only have to attend one of the club nights in Ibiza to understand the importance of FMIF to dance music fans. We are excited about working in collaboration with them to take it on to the next stage of its development."
EMI Music France president Olivier Montfort, adds, "We've had ten years of working with David Guetta, and the relationship just keeps getting stronger. This partnership will enable us to help him and Cathy achieve further well-deserved international success, and at the same time continue to strengthen our involvement in dance music at a time when dance and house are very much at the centre of youth and popular culture."
