FAC: We support Universal/EMI deal - as long as artists are given their rights back

The Featured Artists Coalition has come out in support of Universal’s bid to buy EMI Music, as long as artists under Universal/EMI are allowed to acquire their rights at market value.

A letter to the Financial Times from FAC co-chairs Ed O’Brien, Nick Mason and Sandie Shaw called the views of Patrick Zelnik (“A Universal EMI merger could rescue the music business”) both 'welcome and needed'.
