After previous reports that it was planning to follow Apple by stepping into the music streaming ring, Facebook has released a statement denying the rumours.

The alleged plans followed news that Facebook was looking at licensing music videos, with major labels' chosen vids appearing in users' main news feeds in a test run planned at the end of this year.
