Fat White Family have launched their own record label called Without Consent.

The band have entered into a formal arrangement with [PIAS] Cooperative to provide marketing and distribution throughout the world outside of North America.

Without Consent will not just be a vehicle for Fat White Family’s own recordings - the band are planning a series of releases that will involve brand new artists and the release of some old blues classics.

“The band attracted a lot of interest from labels both big and small over the last few months but when I met with Craig Caukill and was asked if the band would like their own label this became the obvious solution,” said Fat White Family manager Stuart Green.

“It means the band retain their independence and are in control of their own destiny. This is something I have always sought for every artist I have worked with and consider this to be the most exciting deal I have ever been involved in.”

Craig Caukill of [PIAS] commented: “Fat White Family are a hugely exciting proposition, the band have amazing potential and a clear artistic vision for the label – we’re delighted to be working with them.”

Without Consent's first release will be Fat White Family’s, as yet untitled, new single which will be released over the summer. The band intend to complete work on their second album for release next year.
