NME has announced its Top 50 albums of 2012, with Tame Impala’s Lonerism taking the top spot.
The Modular Recordings release is followed by 4AD’s Grimes’ Visions in second place.
Universal imprints Mercury and Fiction claim two Top 10 hits apiece with the Mercury-signed Frank Ocean and Fiction’s Crystal Castles sit in third and fourth with Channel Orange and (III) respectively.
Further down the top fifth, Fiction follows-up with The Maccabee’s Given To The Wild in 6th and Mercury’s Jake Bugg sits at No.9
