Final Grateful Dead show breaks pay-per-view record

Over 175,000 paid live streams were recorded for the Grateful Dead’s final concert at Chicago’s Soldier Field on Sunday July, 5

The viewing figures make the pay-per-view event the largest of its kind, according to Nate Parienti, president of Live Alliance, speaking to Mashable.

"We believe it’s already the largest online music pay-per-view event, once all the numbers are in it’ll be the largest music pay-per-view in history," he said.
