Fink launches Apple concert app

Fink has launched his performance with the Dutch Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra in Amsterdam on April 29 as an Apple app.

A HD recording of the show uses streaming technologies along with a 360 degree video recording allowing the user to take a virtual seat amongst the performers. The app provides six hours’ worth of full HD video content.

The app also contains interviews with the artists, excerpts from the dress rehearsals and a timeline feature. The production is optimised for use with Apple TV, using the iPad as a second screen.

Fin Greenall, who fronts Fink, said: “This app truly is revolutionary and gives our fans, and music lovers everywhere the ability to choose exactly how they wish to view the concert.

“The fact that you can actually look around the room ‘from stage’ with this thing is incredible. We had an inspiring time building this concert and hope this experience inspires others in an equally meaningful way.”

The app can be purchased here and is the first product released by RCO Universe, the orchestra’s new digital platform.
