Fire Records has signed a deal with veteran New Zealand rock band The Chills and their label Far South.
The band, from Dunedin in New Zealand, were formed in 1980 and are fronted by Martin Phillipps. They have have ejoyed notable success in their home country with their album Submarine Bells topping the chart there in 1990, while follow-up Soft Bomb peaked at No 3 two years later.
