Former Rolling Stones manager dies aged 80

The former manager of the Rolling Stones, Prince Rupert Loewenstein, has died aged 80.

Ferdinand, full name Prince Rupert Ludwig Ferdinand zu Loewenstein-Wertheim-Freudenberg, was also a long-term financial advisor to the band.

He is understood to have died peacefully in the early hours of yesterday (May 20) after a courageous battle against a long illness.

He is credited with turning around The Stones' financial fortunes from the late 1960s. He ended his business relationship with the band four decades later, ...
