France outlines new anti-piracy measures

French Minister of Culture, Fleur Pellerin, has presented a paper to the country’s Council of Ministers outlining a plan to deal with online piracy.

As part of the new plan, France will work to cut off the revenue streams funding pirate sites by cooperating with payment and advertising companies. Similar initiatives are already in place in the United States and the UK.
