Frank Zappa’s back catalogue is now available on iTunes after a long period of digital resistance on behalf of the late musician.
There are now 50 Zappa albums on Apple digital platform including Absolutely Free, Uncle Meat, Hot Rats, Burnt Weeny Sandwich and Sheik Yerbouti.
Reports also suggest that Zappa’s full set of jams could also arrive on streaming services in October this year, although such plans have not yet been confirmed.
Many have likened the wait for Zappa’s work to hit iTunes to The Beatles’ long-time reluctance regarding the digital store. With the Liverpool legends now fully onboard with Apple, a ‘new’ Beatles album was released as an iTunes exclusive at the end of last month.
